Hi, I’m Maureen, but my friends call me Mo. During the pandemic, I began to notice aspects of my life and home that weren’t aligning with my passion. Even though I had a background in legal research, arguing, and writing, as well as juggling the never-ending tasks of cooking, cleaning, laundry, and raising kids, I constantly longed to express my creativity. However, these obligations often depleted my bandwidth, leaving little room for creative exploration.

Upon retiring, I decided to reclaim my time and pursue my artistic endeavors. I taught myself to draw, paint (acrylics and watercolors), mixed media assemblage, DIY home improvements, interior design, and even dabbled in designing and crafting bespoke furniture from what I had on hand. Embracing the philosophy that “not every art project is a masterpiece, keep trying,” I found joy in the process and rediscovered my happiness.
